ADAIR FREEMAN: THE ARCADE PROJECT

concourse c, across from gates 10 and 13

Adair Freeman founded her Nashville-based commercial photography company, Adair Freeman Photography, in the spring of 2007. Her clients range from John Deere and USA Gold to such Music City celebrities as Josh Turner and Leann Rimes. Though she transplanted herself briefly to Boston where she received her post-baccalaureate degree from the Museum School of Fine Arts, the Mobile, Ala., native has returned to her southern roots with a fresh perspective and an eager eye.

The Arcade Project
If you don’t work or live in downtown Nashville, you may have never heard of the Arcade. Built in 1903, it is tucked between a high rise and a pawn shop on 4th and 5th Avenues North.

Artist Statement

“In 2007, I moved my photography studio to the Arcade. These photographs are part of my ongoing exploration of the personalities who have become the fabric of Nashville’s oldest covered shopping mall, The Arcade.”
