  Ed Rode - Concourse Connector

Born and raised in the Midwest, Ed Rode felt he found his artistic home in Nashville when he moved here in 1990. His work has been published extensively and he travels worldwide on photography assignments.

Rode says, "In the midst of the glitz and the glamour and the superstars that come out of Music City U.S.A., people tend to forget that it’s all about the song. It’s the origin point for the music they hear coming out of their radios and stereos and TV sets, and there are flesh-and-blood people behind every syllable and every note."

For 14 years, Ed Rode has set out to meet the names behind the songs, capturing the personalities and environments that make up Nashville's fabric of song-writing talent.

  Artist Statement
“Music has always had a powerful connection to events in my life, and in taking my camera around Nashville...this city’s music has become even more embedded within me.”
