Adam W. Carlos is a second-generation artist who recently relocated with his wife Sarah to Kingston Springs, TN, from his native Sewanee, TN. He is a 1989 graduate of The University of the South, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts. He is proficient in photography, painting, and sculpture, but drawing is is focus. While learning to play the mandolin, Carlos paid special attention to the hands of musicians, and realized it was the hands that produced a distinctive sound and style. Carlos began to see a series of drawings with a documentary approach, in where the truth and realism of acoustic music could be shared by all.
