NASHVILLE, Tenn. ─ The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority’s award-winning Arts at the Airport program is hosting performances of “The Nutcracker” by the Dance Theatre of Tennessee at Nashville International Airport for the enjoyment of its passengers this holiday season. On Dec. 6 and Dec. 13, members of the Dance Theatre of Tennessee will perform excerpts from "The Nutcracker." The Sugar Plum Fairy and her friends will be presenting different dances from the ballet.

Arts at the Airport plays a critical role in providing the Nashville Airports Experience to passengers, partners and employees. The program is supported by the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, Tennessee Arts Commission and Metro Nashville Arts Commission. Permanent and temporary art is displayed throughout the terminal. Yearround live music is another component of Arts at the Airport. Live music in the airport began in the 1990s and expanded in 2001. Artists of all genres perform on four stages located throughout the airport.
