Nashville Airport Authority Promotes Aaron Evans to Assistant Director of Operations
The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority recently promoted Aaron Evans, formerly manager of Operations, to the position of assistant director of Operations, part of the Senior Management Staff of the MNAA.
In this role, Evans plans, organizes, and directs the functional operation of Nashville International and John C. Tune airports under control of the MNAA. He directs daily airside and landside operations, including responsibility for airfield activities related to construction, inspections, federal requirements, and other conditions which affect airfield operations. Evans serves as a liaison with tenants and governmental agencies coordinating airport operational activities. He maintains oversight of the 24-hour operational command function, the Airport Operations Center. In addition, he is responsible for the operation of all parking facilities and services.
A certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives, Evans is currently enrolled in the Global Airports Council International - International Civil Aviation Organization Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program and is pursuing accreditation with that organization as an International Airport Professional.
Nashville Airport Authority Promotes Margaret Holleman to Assistant Legal Officer
In recognition of the duties, level of leadership responsibility, quality of work, and the importance of the Legal Department’s role within the MNAA, Margaret Holleman, formerly staff attorney, has been promoted to assistant legal officer.
In this role, Holleman provides legal opinions on behalf of the Authority in various areas of business law. In addition, she prepares and assists the Authority staff in developing contracts, resolutions and other legal documents ensuring compliance with local, state and federal law and regulations.
Prior to joining the MNAA, Holleman served as director for Policy Development and Analysis with the Metropolitan Public Health Department of Nashville and Davidson County. Her legal career also includes work for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County’s Department of Law and the City of New Orleans’ Planning Commission.
A Nashville native, Holleman earned a bachelor’s degree from the Catholic University of America and a law degree from the Tulane University School of Law.
MNAA’s Basil Dosunmu Earns Certified Internal Auditor Designation
Basil Dosunmu, an internal auditor for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, recently earned the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is the only globally accepted certification for internal auditors and remains the standard by which individuals demonstrate their competency and professionalism in the internal auditing field, according to The Institute of Internal Auditors.
Dosunmu joined the MNAA in 2006 and has 15 years of accounting and audit experience. A CPA, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.
Vitt Graduates From the Scarlett Signature Executive Program
Christine Vitt, director of construction for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority recently graduated from the Scarlett Signature Executive Program, which is part of Belmont University’s Scarlett Leadership Institute.
The 14-month Signature Executive Program is a “for leaders, by leaders” executive education course designed by leading business minds to develop the people and talent they most need to support the continued success of their organizations. This program offers a unique and engaging means of transferring leadership experience to the next generation of business leaders.
Vitt has 20 years of engineering experience. A professional engineer, Vitt holds a bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
