Introducing Sarratt Art Studios

Located on the campus of Vanderbilt University, Sarratt Art Studios has been offering noncredit studio art classes since the mid-1970s. One of the "best kept secrets" in Nashville, Sarratt Art Studios offers adult art classes during the school year and a summer art program to children ages 5-16. With a schedule designed for beginners, many people have been able to start their interest in art in a comfortable and safe environment with classes led by some of Nashville's finest artists and art educators.

We are delighted to present original works by seven of our artists: JC Johnson, Nancie Roark, Susan Moody, Maureen O'Brien, Elizabeth Friend, John Toomey and David Heustess. These works represent a part of the offerings from Sarratt Art Studios schedule every semester. Classes include pottery on the wheel, jewelry, digital and film photography, drawing, painting and printmaking.

Arts at the Airport receives funding for the visual arts from the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) and the Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC). The Flying Solo Exhibition Series is funded under an agreement with TAC. For more information about Arts at the Airport, please call (615) 275-1614 or send email to
