Artist Statement
“I am a process-based artist attracted to the perfection of simplicity and honest craftsmanship. The inspiration behind this approach is the result of my upbringing in Lancaster, Pa., (Amish country), in a community and culture that firmly believes in and practices a “less-is-more” approach to life.

“My art/studio practice is a visual representation of uncomplicated beauty. I believe true craftsmanship is informed by three elements that are counterintuitive to the ever increasing pace and complexity of modern life: dedication, endurance and patience. I integrate geometric shapes, clean lines, basic colors, hardware and other industrial-grade materials into all my work. My art challenges viewers to take a moment to pause and appreciate the transformation of basic elements into an object that illustrates the joy and beauty of simplicity.”
