Word of Mouth: Nashville Conversations, interviews by Lily Hansen, is a multimedia conversation and portrait photography series, which captures the zeitgeist of Music City.

As curator of this exhibition, Lily Hansen has selected artists who could personify the subjects of the "Word of Mouth: Nashville Conversations" book through their chosen mediums.

The common denominator between photographer Ron Manville and sculptor Carolyn Boutwell is that they all are experts at capturing the human condition. Artist Omari Booker is one of the persons interviewed in Hansen's book, "Word of Mouth: More Conversations." The Nashville-based artists worked with Hansen to select portraits from her book to interpret in their chosen medium. Each visual narrative speaks to what makes Nashville so appealing to natives, visitors and transplants.
Lily Hansen started her brand in 2012 when she began looking for real life role models in her own backyard. She also craved a 360-degree angle of her adopted hometown. What better way to understand a city than through the stories of its people?

Her conversations prove that greatness is not defined by fame, money, or social media status but rather what you give back during your time on earth. By giving her subjects a voice, she hopes to shine the light on people who are living their truth.

Hansen states, "I've learned a lot by keeping my mouth shut, ears open and mind unblocked. I have never met the same person twice. In this exhibition, I hope to give a glimpse into the texture, tone and complexity of the human spirit."
